iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max could launch with higher price tags: Check India price, design, camera nd more – Technology News

The iPhone 17 is anticipated to debut later this year, taking the baton from Apple’s current iPhone 16 as its next-generation flagship. The iPhone 17 will lead a refreshed lineup that includes the iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and an all-new model—the iPhone 17 Air. Notably, Apple is expected to phase out the ‘Plus’ model, indicating a subtle but strategic shift in the company’s product approach. The iPhone 17 Air brings a slimmer, more streamlined design to the table, but it isn’t positioned as a direct replacement for the discontinued Plus model. Instead, it represents an entirely new addition to Apple’s iPhone lineup.A new report from Counterpoint Research indicates that Apple might increase prices for its upcoming iPhone 17 series. Although the company has kept pricing relatively consistent in recent years, this trend could change as anticipated U.S. tariffs threaten to raise production costs.

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max price:

Apple has generally maintained a steady starting price for its base-model iPhones over the past few years. If this pattern holds, the standard iPhone 17 is expected to debut in India at around Rs 79,900. However, this figure is an early projection and not an official confirmation—there remains a chance that prices could rise when the new lineup is officially unveiled.

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max launch date:

Apple has consistently launched its new iPhones in early September over the past few years, and the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup is likely to stick to that timeline. However, one variant—the iPhone 17E—could deviate from tradition. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and a report by The Information, its release may be pushed back to early 2026.

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max design and display:

All four iPhones set to launch in 2025 are expected to feature ProMotion display technology, offering a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and enhanced video playback. This marks a shift from previous years, where ProMotion was exclusive to the Pro models. The upgrade is made possible by Apple’s rumored use of LTPO OLED panels across the entire iPhone 17 lineup. While LTPO technology also supports always-on display functionality, it remains uncertain whether this feature will be extended to all models or continue to be reserved for the Pro variants.

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max performance:

According to reports, the iPhone 17 may either retain the A18 Bionic chip from the iPhone 16 or debut with a newer A19 chip, depending on which rumors prove accurate. Both processors are expected to be manufactured using TSMC’s current 3nm process technology. The standard iPhone 17 is likely to feature 8GB of RAM—matching its predecessor—while the Pro variants could see a boost to 12GB. All four models in the iPhone 17 lineup are expected to ship with iOS 26, the latest operating system Apple unveiled at WWDC 2025.

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max camera:

In terms of camera upgrades, Apple is reportedly developing a new 24-megapixel front-facing camera with a six-element lens for sharper selfies and improved video quality. The iPhone 17 Pro Max may also receive a major enhancement with a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, a significant jump from the current 12-megapixel sensor. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 is expected to retain its existing Wide and Ultra Wide cameras, and the all-new iPhone 17 Air is likely to feature a single 48-megapixel rear camera.
